As a Broad Resident, I believe I will have the opportunity to impact the lives of our youth and ultimately drive change for entire communities and the world.”
Tshilumba Ngandu currently serves as an outreach manager for a key program within Chicago Public Schools to increase educational outcomes for students. He is responsible for creating and implementing processes and strategies in support of this key program. Prior to joining The Broad Residency, Ngandu worked at Nestle USA and Kraft Foods for ten years. In his most recent role there, he served as a manager in the research and development department of the pizza division where he led cross functional project teams in product development and product improvement initiatives. Previously, Ngandu served as a senior engineer in the cheese division. His involvement in education included serving as a board member for New Concepts Tutor and Mentor Connection, a youth mentoring organization and the recruiting team leader for the Howard University recruiting program. Ngandu holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Howard University and a master’s degree in engineering management from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University with a concentration in project and process management.
